"UmBRUCH/UpHEAVAL"

Es gibt Bilder, die beginne ich, dann stehen sie mehrere Wochen (oft Monate) halbfertig im Raum und dann kommt zum richtigen Zeitpunkt die Vollendung.

So war es auch bei diesem Bild. Einen Teil davon hatte ich bereits Anfang des Jahres 2018 gemalt. Zur Fertigstellung fehlte mir aber dann der entsprechende Impuls, da die Wochen und Monate, die folgten, sehr arbeitsintensiv und emotionell sehr fordernd waren. Es gab berufliche Veränderungen in meinem Leben. Erst im September war es mir dann gefühlsmäßig möglich, dieses Bild fertig zu stellen. Der Name "UmBRUCH" schien mir deshalb passend.

There are pictures that I start, then they stand in the room for several weeks (often months) half-finished and then the completion comes at the right time.

It was the same with this picture. I had already painted part of it at the beginning of 2018. But then I didn't have the impulse to complete it, because the weeks and months that followed were very labor-intensive and emotionally very demanding. There have been professional changes in my life. Only in September was it emotionally possible for me to finish this picture. The name "UpHEAVAL" therefore seemed appropriate to me.
